This thread will contain examples of "liberals" trying to explain why the school and NORTA buses weren't used to evacuate the city.

Can't Keep Quiet:

All together, maybe 30,000 people could have been evacuated using school buses. Maybe. Trust me, that’s being really, really generous. It’s also leaving at least 70,000 people stranded in New Orleans. At least.

This target-rich post at Progress Now (Podesta, Clinton, etc.) attempts to debunk a few points:

- Sean Hannity miscounted the number of buses available, claiming there were 2000…

- 70 schoolbuses were broken down (leaving over two hundred that weren't used)…

And two more.

The Progress Now bit links to the Soros-funded Media Matters' "ABC's Stephanopoulos repeated school bus falsehood spread by Pruden, Hannity, and Gingrich".
