Entergy New Orleans - which provides electricity to 190,000 and gas to almost 150,000 in NO, has filed bankruptcy. They're a subsidiary of Entergy, and that company has not filed BK. This move will allow the parent company to provide up to $200 million to pay salaries which ENO works on rebuilding their infrastructure. Whether there are other factors involved is unknown.
