Rebuttal to your statement of:
Its fundraising vastly outruns its programs because it does very little or nothing to rescue survivors, provide direct medical care or rebuild houses. After 9/11, the Red Cross collected more than $1 billion, a record in philanthropic fundraising after a disaster. But the Red Cross could do little more than trace missing people, help a handful of people in shelters and provide food to firefighters, police, paramedics and evacuation crews during that catastrophe…
#1 one the purpose of the Red Cross is not to rescue survivors or to rebuild homes. It's primary function is to provide emergency food, clothing, and shelter. If you want an agency that rebuilds homes, and rescues people I suggest you start your own organization, and see if you can do better. Good Luck!Firemen, PoliceMen, Paramedics, Coast Guard, Habitat for Humanity are organizations that rescue survivors, and rebuild homes. You have a misunderstanding of the purpose of Red Cross. I challenge you to start your own organization to cater to what you believe should be done to help rescue survivors, and rebuild homes. Developing a positive attiude might be a good place for you to start.
