Bush making conspiracy theories come true; Spike Lee movie
Tags: spike lee, tucker carlson, bill maher, louis farrakhan, conspiracy theoriesSpike Lee, Michel Martin from ABC News, and Tucker Carlson appeared on Bill Maher's show recently (video) and discussed the conspiracy theories about levees being blown up. The only problem is that one of the theories they discuss appears to be coming true. Let's go to the tape:
Bill Maher: Farrakhan said he thinks the feds wanted to flood the poor black districts… I'm not a conspiracy theorist, I don't believe it, but when you see some of the things that have gone on in this country…
Spike Lee: It's not far-fetched… it's not necessarily 'blow it up', [uses Compton vs. Beverly Hills example to say that they could have decided to help rich areas first instead of poor areas]…
Maher: But that's different from proactively blowing up a levee to flood one neighborhood…
Michel Martin chimes in, saying it would require a massive conspiracy…
Lee chimes in about the stolen election…
Tucker Carlson: I was in New Orleans right after the hurricane… while I didn't hear anyone say the levee was blown up by the federal government, I did hear a bunch of people… who thought this was part of a conspiracy to rid New Orleans of black people… they honestly believed that… I didn't argue with them… I felt bad for them…
Let's examine the facts that might lead people to suspect that:
- The feds have dispersed former residents from Cape Cod to Utah to Oklahoma
- The feds haven't exactly been working at full speed to get housing built near New Orleans
- The feds have allowed illegal aliens to take rebuilding jobs that should go to former residents
Obviously, a lot of people are going to think there was a conspiracy such as described by Carlson. Wouldn't they be right? Are the feds working as hard as possible to bring former residents back and get them the jobs that are now being done by people from another country? No, they are not. Unless they change that, one would have to be extremely gullible to think this wasn't part of the plan.
If the GOP wants to avoid yet another major scandal, they'd be very wise to work to reverse what the Bush administration is doing. Just like Lee's mention of the Tuskegee Experiment, this is one that could be brought up for decades.

Why doesn't ANYBODY bring up the fact that two major neighborhoods were devastated by the levee breaks. The first is the Lower Ninth Ward, a predominantly black lower class neighborhood. The second was Lakeview, a predominantly white upper class neighborhood. I guess the government just wanted to depopulate the whole of New Orleans! LOL! (and have done a good job of it.) Grow up people! Now to the fact that FEMA has and still is doing an awful job that is preventing ANYBODY from getting help from the government in re-building coastal LA and MS….. that is where the story should be. The silence is deafening.

This is not a racial thing. I am a white person born and raised in LA, yet I have lost everything in fact let's just say 60 thousand dollars of furniture clothing jewelry and keepsakes that I will never be able to replace. Fema has given me 10,300.00 dollars to start over. I am 49 years old that won't even cover my furniture I owned, but it is better than nothing. This is not a racial thing, this is however a LA resident thing because I am convinced that the officials of LA had knowledge that if a storm of this nature would ever develop we would not be prepared to withstand it's fury. So I feel the people whether their poor, rich, black, white, brown, or whatever origin they have come from, we as a whole, should stick together and demand that someone should be responsible for this terrible lost we have all, let me repeat, all have suffered. The people depend on the officials to keep them informed and safe and not one official has suffered any loss nor have they experinenced any trauma. Unless you consider elections that are coming up a Trauma then perhaps they will feel the people's loss.

Thank Goodness for Spike Lee’s attempt to show what really went down after hurricane Katrina. Those that have been denying that racism had everything to do with the response are in a state of denial and will probably continue to be whether the facts support that or not. All he can do is put the facts out there for the audience to judge. Those that need to see it the most prob. won’t but thats to be expected. The most important lesson for us black people to take from this event is that we must take our destiny into our own hands by becoming more educated and by building our own communities. Dependency is not freedom and remember you were never intended to be free in this country. Never rely on this govt to provide us with our fair share because it NEVER HAS! We have always had to make our own way and that legacy needs to continue. Freedom or death !

I really think that someone blew up the levee. I think God, He given me the resources to leave. Really, that Friday my car was in the shop and I had to wait until Monday to get it repaired, so my aunt offered to pick up my grandmother on Saturday to leave for Baton Rouge. I asked her can I get a ride she told me yes, but the ride was tight. I never stayed home for a hurricane, because of fear the levee would break and I cannot swim that well. I always heard stories from my family about Hurricane Betsy, and they experienced the same thing, but with less damage.
The Black community really have been having a hard time adjusting after Katrina, as well as other residents from South Louisiana. There is a lot of racism that is being played in Baton Rouge, Livingston Parish, Paririeville, and all surround places up North Louisiana. The community in Paririeville don't want any FEMA trailer parks for displaced residents, Some elected officials in Baton Rouge don't want any evacuees in their city. Where the city has made a lot of money from sales tax off of Katrina vicitims alone. We are having a hard time among our on people. The men in Baton Rouge don't want New Orleans males around, because their scare New Orleans men they claim wants to take over their block, which no of them own. The females are insecure, because New Orleans women are beautiful, talented, down to earth, classy, and real. We get bad vibes from the some of the Baton Rouge women, even were still Black.
I tried to get some assistance today from an agency, and the case worker was white. He asked me did I want to move to Hawaii and they would be glad to send me anywhere I want to go. I polietly told him no. He gave me a hard time getting assistance, because I need a document with my social security number on it, my fema letter with my case number, because people from New Orleans was trying to scheme. I had my ssn on my drivers license and as long as I had a fema Id it is proof i'm registered with fema. That wasn't good enough, I told him I do not need his service and I complain to the front desk.
Later, that day I went to the salvation Army and applied for furniture assistance. My appointment was for 1:15, but I arrived late a 1:18p.m.. I waited two hours before I went to the front desk and ask about my status. So the clerk realized that we have been waiting and she went to talk with the case worker. She replied that she called our names and we did not respond, but we will have to wait because, she is dealing with someone. I said okay, but you never called us. She then said she was not seeing me. I asked for her supervisor then. I waited an hour for him to return from lunch and by then another case worker agreeded to see me after she declined a second time not to see me. Her attitude was so nasty, as if she was giving us the money out of her pocket. As I was complaining to the front desk clerk another witness, said she had a bad encounter with the same case worker who has a very bad attitude. And she is Black!
That is some of the things I'm experiencing from Baton Rouge and Whites, not all, because can feel my pain. I will update yall every now and then. Let the real truth be spoken. Oh, and Black's watch your back in New Orleans because we are getting treated like terroist.
